Boy was it cold last night! 40s for sure. It was hard getting out of bed in the morning when its so cold. We hit the trail at 11 and got 20 miles done. Now we’re camped out near Greenbush shelter.

We climbed Baxter peak which was one big rock climbing up. There were pretty views of the mountains. Vermont gets better and better the further we get into the state. At the very end of the day we walked through majestic, peaceful pine forest. Here is a garden of rock cairns a came across near white rocks cliffs.

Upon getting to the shelter, Carpenter went to work making a fire while I set up camp. It was cool but not as cold as last night. We found some noodles on the trail and cooked them on the fire for second super.
