Another wild day in the whites. More rock slabs to scurry up, some sketchy downhill, knee jarring steps, slippery rocks, slick roots, peaks, stunning views, long steep climbs. It was a doozy.
I’m camped by some streams right now, just a couple miles from US 2 and the end of the whites. Ahead lies the Mahoosoc range.
I fell today on a slick rock slab. Not fun. We did have great weather though and I got pancakes for breakfast at the Carter Notch Hut which is my most favorite hut of them all.
Hiked some with River Song today and played leap frog with Bird Legs. He’s from TN and is just finishing up a section hike from Massachusetts through the w hites. Cool dude.
